Weber Summit Platinum B6

The Summit Platinum B6 is a six-burner gas grill with a side burner with a refurbished over-all physical appearance able to cook enough food for a neighborhood block party. Its primary cooking area, warming rack area and warm-up basket area combine for a total cooking area of 902 square inches. The Summit Platinum B6’s external dimensions are 62.5”h x 68”w x 34.5”d with its lid open.

This equipment comes in a stainless steel frame, hood and enclosed cart. The Platinum B6 features a center-mounted thermometer and accent-colored cast-aluminum end caps. Its all-weather wheels are crack proof and have locking casters. There are two accent-colored thermoset, swing-up work surfaces and a similar removable one. All of these come with stainless steel inserts.

Weber Summit Platinum B6 has 6 super-charged stainless steel burners with 57,600 BTU-per-hour input. The side burner has 12,000 BTU-per-hour input. When cooking on a gas grill, juices from the food usually drip down and accumulate near the heat source until they reach a flash point and burn off. This kind of grill uses a system (which is incidentally pioneered by Weber) that funnels grease away from the burner flames to reduce flare-ups. The Electronic Crossover Ignition System is used which allows for the lighting of burners in sequence. It works with 3/8 inch diameter stainless steel cooking grates and Flavorizer Bars to deliver irresistible grilled specialties.

This equipment offers definite ease in assembly without an engineering degree required to do it. Weber knows that grill enthusiasts want to grill and not to drill. Limited warranty covers all parts of the unit except for fading of paint unless the problem occurs within one year from purchase. A choice between liquid propane (LP) models and natural gas (NG) models are available. Stainless steel lid finish is available for both models.
